What is Revival?

Is revival something that you can box into a church service, on certain days of the week? Giving a time frame for God’s power to turn up and be shown? 

Or is it a flame that can’t be quenched, stopped, controlled.

Is it for meetings, schedules, the comfortable and clean?

Or is it a wild radical passion released on the streets as Spirit filled shadows heal the sick and the darkness flees from the purifying light.

Is it a holiday from work to enjoy the buzz and get fat on the frenzied filling up?

Or an empowering to take Christ into the hardest, darkest, situations of our mundane every day lives.

Is it an opportunity to make a quick buck, sell product to “support the ministry”?

Or a realigning of our mindsets and money with the poor and needy as our focus again.

Is revival for us, the thrill of a party. A celebration that we are saved and in the light?

Or is it to bring us to our knees in brokenness and battle for a world that is lost in the dark.
